Can you auto-DM from a TikTok comment?
No, not through apps. TikTok's messaging API lets business accounts answer messages people send them, but there's no official way for an app to start a DM from a comment. Reply publicly with the link, or point people to your bio.
TikTok's Business Messaging API is reply-only: a business account can answer people who message it first. A comment doesn't count as a message, so it doesn't open a conversation an app can use.
On top of that, TikTok's docs say the API isn't available for accounts registered in the EU (EEA), the UK or Switzerland, and it only works with TikTok business accounts.
What works on TikTok instead:
- Ask people to message you a keyword rather than comment it. A message does open a conversation, which tools can answer.
- Reply to comments publicly with where to find the link.
- Put the link in your bio and say so in the video.
