Terms of service

The rules for using Freqel. Short, plain English, no surprises.

Last updated: June 2026. This is a starter terms document. Replace it with one reviewed by counsel before serving real customers in the EU.

The deal

You pay us for Pro (or use the Free plan). You get access to Freqel on the terms below. If we disagree about anything, we’ll try to sort it out by email first.

What you can do

  • Use Freqel for your business, side project, agency, or hobby.
  • Collect testimonials from your customers. You’re responsible for obtaining their consent.
  • Embed widgets and walls on sites you own or have permission to edit.

What you can’t do

  • Use Freqel to host content that’s illegal, harmful, or hateful.
  • Fake testimonials. Don’t make up quotes from people who didn’t say them.
  • Resell Freqel as your own product.
  • Scrape, abuse, or load-test our infrastructure. You’re welcome to use the API at normal rates; if you need more, email us.

Your content stays yours

Everything you put into Freqel is yours. We need a license to display and process it to make the product work (showing your widgets to your visitors, etc.), but the content itself remains yours.

If we close your account

We can close accounts that violate these terms. We’ll email first if there’s time. You can export your data before deletion.

If you close your account

Email hello@freqel.com. We delete your data within 30 days. Stripe handles refund prorations.

Liability

We provide Freqel “as is”. We’ll do our best to keep it running, but we don’t guarantee uptime or that it’ll always be the right tool for you. Our total liability is capped at what you’ve paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes

We’ll email Pro customers and post here before any material change. Continued use counts as acceptance.
