Can you auto-reply to YouTube comments?
Yes, through YouTube's API, but within a quota. Each reply costs 50 of the 10,000 units an app gets a day by default, so about 200 replies per app a day unless Google raises it.
Replies go through the YouTube Data API's comments endpoint, with the account owner's permission. YouTube's default quota is 10,000 units a day per app, and posting one reply costs 50 units. Reading comments costs 1 unit per request.
That's about 200 replies a day across everyone using the same app, which is why tools apply to Google for a higher quota.
A few habits keep auto-replies from looking like spam:
- Vary the wording; don't post the same sentence under every comment.
- Keep links to your own pages, and not in every reply.
- Answer real questions properly instead of with a template.
