If you want an AI agent to post to social media for you, two tools come up: SocialClaw, which calls itself "the official social publishing layer for AI agents", and Freqel, a scheduler with an MCP server on every plan. Both let ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor schedule posts. They're built for slightly different people.
Full disclosure: we make Freqel, so keep that in mind. There's a section below on where SocialClaw is the better choice. Prices and features were checked on each company's own website in October 2026; check their pricing pages before you decide.
The short answer
- Pick SocialClaw if you're a developer or run agents at volume: it has a CLI, schedule files in YAML or JSON, agent skills for OpenClaw, and networks like LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Discord, Telegram and WordPress.
- Pick Freqel if you're a brand or creator who wants a normal, friendly scheduler and the option to ask your AI to do the work, from $19 a month. It also posts to Threads and Bluesky, and DMs people who comment a keyword.
SocialClaw starts from the agent and adds a dashboard. Freqel starts from the dashboard and adds the agent.

Threads and Bluesky weren't on SocialClaw's list of networks when we checked. LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Discord, Telegram and WordPress aren't on Freqel's.
How agents work with each
SocialClaw gives agents several ways in: a hosted MCP endpoint with 18 tools, a REST API with a workspace key, a CLI you install with npm, and agent skills. Its CLI lets you write a schedule file in YAML or JSON, validate it, and apply it. That suits developers who keep posting plans in a code repository, or agents that publish in batches.
Freqel gives agents an MCP server that works with ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and VS Code. You connect it once and approve access by signing in to Freqel, and then the agent can schedule posts, read your calendar, cancel posts, check insights and use your ideas board. n8n and scripts use an API key. Everything the agent schedules shows up in the same calendar you use yourself, with a preview for each network.
Pricing in practice
Here's what three setups would pay at the monthly list prices.
A creator with 3 accounts, asking Claude to plan the week. Freqel Pro is $19 a month after the trial, and AI apps can add up to 50 posts a day. SocialClaw Starter is $15 a month after its trial, with 200 posts a month.
A small brand with 6 accounts and 20,000 followers. Freqel Pro is $19 a month. SocialClaw Startup is $29 a month for 6 accounts and 400 posts.
A developer running agents for 40 accounts. Freqel Business is $49 a month with unlimited accounts, but AI apps and API keys are capped at 150 posts a day, and a post to three channels counts as three. SocialClaw Pro is $99 a month for 50 accounts and 2,500 posts a month. For heavy automated publishing, SocialClaw is designed for exactly this.
Limits, and why they're different
Freqel's agent limits are sized for a brand posting for itself, not for running thousands of automated posts. Posting in the Freqel app itself isn't counted at all. SocialClaw counts every post against a monthly allowance, wherever it comes from, and sells bigger allowances to people who need them.
Neither approach is wrong. If your agent posts a few times a day, either works; if it posts hundreds of times a day, look at SocialClaw. Our guide to what a social media MCP server is covers what to check in any tool before you connect an agent.
Where SocialClaw is the better choice
- You need LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Discord, Telegram or WordPress.
- You want a CLI and schedule files you can keep in a repository.
- You're building with OpenClaw or want ready-made agent skills.
- You publish at high volume from agents and want a large monthly post allowance.
- You want AI video, voice and images made in the same tool.
Where Freqel is the better choice
- You post to Threads or Bluesky.
- You want everyone who comments a keyword to get a DM with your link, and one inbox for every comment.
- You want a scheduler you'd happily use without an agent: one composer, a preview per network, a calendar, posting times and a queue, and Insights.
- You manage several brands or clients, each in its own workspace, with review links clients can approve without an account.
- You want posting in the app to be unlimited, with limits only on what agents add.
Wrap-up
Freqel vs SocialClaw comes down to who's in charge. If an agent or a developer is doing most of the posting, across many networks and at volume, SocialClaw is built for that. If you're a brand or creator who wants a friendly scheduler and an AI that can help when you ask, Freqel fits better, and you can try it free for 7 days.
