How much does the X API charge per DM?
X's API is pay-per-use. Third-party trackers put sending a DM at about 1.5 cents and reading one at about 1 cent. Check X's developer console for your exact rate.
X moved its API to pay-per-use: no monthly plan, a charge per call. X doesn't publish the full rate card outside its developer console, so the figures below come from third-party trackers:
| Call | Reported price |
|---|---|
| Send a DM | about $0.015 |
| Read a DM event | about $0.010 |
At those prices, 1,000 DMs cost about $15 to send. Apps that offer DMs on X usually cap them per plan for that reason.
